Important Information and Application Instructions

Columbia Bible College offers a competitive job market. Students applying to work on-campus must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  1. Currently enrolled as a student at Columbia Bible College
  2. Must be enrolled in 12 or more paid credit hours per semester, maintaining a GPA of 2.0 or higher
  3. Applicable basic skills (some areas may require specialized skill sets)
  4. Availability to work scheduled hours in the area of employment
  5. Students may not hold multiple positions of employment on campus. Depending on the area of employment, student work positions may range from as few as 2 hrs/wk to 15 hrs/wk. On-campus student jobs will not exceed 15 hrs/wk.

Please Note: Students who drop below 12 paid credit hours per semester, or who have a GPA below 2.0 will not be eligible to take on, or continue in a position of on-campus employment.

All eligible applications will be reviewed for on-campus employment. Students selected for interviews will be contacted. We cannot guarantee that there will be on-campus employment available for all qualified applicants, or in all areas. Student employment assignments may be added, deleted or revised by the College without notice.

Do not submit resumes or letters of reference for an application; this completed form will be sufficient to activate your application.

Incomplete applications will not be considered for on-campus employment. Applications will be accepted throughout the academic year. Qualified applicants for whom there are not available jobs will be placed into a general pool for on-call or upcoming positions. Jobs will remain open until suitable candidates are selected, or the College confirms other suitable arrangments.

Important: On-campus employment at Columbia Bible College is paid according to the British Columbia minimum wage rate; supervisors may determine additional rates depending on experience and specialized skills required. This is taxable income; pay-cheques issued for each pay period will reflect taxes and deductions as required by law. Students hired to work on-campus at Columbia will be required to sign a Student Employment Agreement, and to submit a valid Canadian SIN (Social Insurance Number) to the Student Accounts Office.
